Login Prompt
We have removed reliance on any installed desktop applications in the new platform and this will result in a ReadyDoc
login prompt when viewing or capturing documents. The login prompt will not
happen every time – only after a period of inactivity. So repetitive viewing or
capture will not require the login every time, but will require it the first
time. Your Client ID, UserName and Password will be the same as in the old
platform.
The ReadyDoc Login Prompt
You can
choose to cache your credentials within your browser to simplify the login if
your company policy does not restrict such things, or use a password vault application.
If you do
not know your client ID please contact us at support@readydoc.com. We will
have also provided your Client ID in the cutover notification email we sent to
the administrator(s) of your ReadyDoc account.
You can also use the “Forgot Password” link on the login page to reset your password if you know your ReadyDoc Client ID and the email address associated with your ReadyDoc account.
Viewing Documents
You select
documents for viewing the same as now, by double-clicking on a document link
within the Advisors Assistant contact record. After selecting a document for viewing,
the ReadyDoc Viewer is shown below with the most common options highlighted.

In the new cloud platform, documents can be printed or exported from any of the major
browsers (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and more), and office documents can now also
be edited from any of the major browsers.
Capturing Documents
Desktop-based
scanning is no longer required, but it is still an option for higher document
volumes. By default,
when you click the “Add” or “Scan” button to launch scanning from within
Advisors Assistant, the web-based scanning window will appear.
There is a new popup message that will appear after you click on "Add" or "Scan" from Advisors Assistant. It is important that you do not close this window until you are done capturing documents for the current Advisors Assistant contact.
You can capture
and save multiple documents for a given contact in Web Capture, but you need to
capture and save them one document at a time. This is usually fine for most
scenarios. For more information on capturing documents and switching to Desktop Capture, see here
New Web Interface
If you are accustomed to going directly to the ReadyDoc website to access your client folders or to search for
documents, that location has changed to: https://app.readydoc.com and at that location is a radically
improved user experience. You will be prompted for a login with your Client ID, username and password. Highlights of the new cloud application are shown below.
